Maine Car Show Comprehensive 2014 Calendar

Car Show Calendar

Toys for Tots Show at Portland Motor Club

Special One-Time Event!!! Car Show and Concert with Jimmie Van Zant on Sunday, October 5th in Saco

For lots more details, click here but here are the basics:

What: Cars and Guitars: Classic Car Show and Classic Southern Rock Concert with Jimmie Van Zant on October 5th in Saco. All makes and models of show cars welcomed. Special collection of dozens of classic Mopar vehicles in the dealership — bring your sideburns and Burt Reynolds mustache! It’s also our Grand Opening weekend for the newly renovated dealership — it’s completely updated and looks great.

Jimmie will be playing some classic Skynyrd as well as his own brand of southern rock. The WBLM band will be on hand to play some classic rock as well as some local talent to warm them up. Music begins at 10.

And despite all the fun, it’s also a benefit event for Biddeford-Saco food pantries so please bring some non-perishables to donate or write a check to one of the groups we’ll be supporting. There’s also a 50/50 raffle to benefit the pantries. And some great food trucks for lunch, snacks and drinks — no coolers please.

When: Sunday, October 5 from 10AM to 4PM. Show cars arrive no earlier than 8:30 to prevent a traffic jam on Route One. It’s rain or shine although we prefer shine. Bring a folding chair and maybe keep an umbrella in the car. Folding tents/canopies will only be allowed by the show cars.

Where: At Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep on Sunday, 824 Route One (Portland Road) in Saco. The dealership will, by law, be closed for business and we’re clearing the lot and the showroom for the classic car show

Why: Well, why not, really? But the owner of Portland Motor Club and Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep sat down next to the wife of Jimmie Van Zant on a plane to Nashville on his way to look at a very nice black GTX. They got to chatting and he came back with the phrase “Cars and Guitars” on his mind and lips and the rest is (or will be) history! More importantly, we’re celebrating the great new dealership, our passion for Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep (and Plymouth and Ram and Viper and SRT and… MOPAR!), being one of Maine’s biggest CDJ dealers and to help out some of our neighbors in the Saco and Biddeford neighborhood while doing what we love — enjoying great cars, great music and some great eats!

How much: It’s free to enter and enjoy. You’ll pay for food and beverages (no alcohol served or allowed — and no coolers)

For more information, well, this is probably the best place for information along with that link at the top or you can call Kal Rogers at Portland Motor Club at 207-233-9970.

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming…

Please send all updates, corrections, additions, deletions and suggestions to We are trying to have a very comprehensive list with accurate times, dates, details and contact information. Please help us to keep making this better! This is car-crowd-sourced!
